Creating the Testing Schedule

Use

Once you have specified your storage conditions in the stability study, you can create a testing schedule for the study. When you create the testing schedule, you must know:

  • Which strategy you will use for this stability study

  • What the duration of the stability study will be. The planned duration (or scheduling period) you specify in this procedure will later be used by the system to determine the time period, for which test dates will be calculated by the scheduling function.

  • Which inspection type for inspection lot origin 16 (stability study) will be used to perform the stability tests

When you create the testing schedule, the system creates the testing schedule header and a testing schedule item for each storage condition you specified in the stability study. In doing so, the system automatically uses the storage condition short text as the short text for the testing schedule item.

You can create the testing schedule for a stability study more than once, as long as you have not explicitly completed the testing schedule. For example, if you determine that you have used the wrong strategy or if you have specified additional storage conditions in the stability study, which you do not want to manually enter in the testing schedule, you simply create a new testing schedule. This new testing schedule cannot have the same key as the original one. When you create a new testing schedule, the system checks whether a testing schedule already exists for the study. If so, it sets a deletion flag for the original testing schedule and it also deletes the document that explicitly links this testing schedule to the stability study. You can view this link using the follow-up function Display Objects for Study . The system then creates a new testing schedule for the study with your entries.

Note Note

When you create a testing schedule, the system proposes the key for the stability study as the key for the testing schedule. This proposal is only made if the key for the stability study lies within a valid external number range for testing schedules. If you create a testing schedule a second time, you must change this proposed value if this key was used for the original testing schedule.

End of the note.

Prerequisites

You have specified storage conditions in the stability study and created a strategy .

Procedure

  1. From the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Quality Management Next navigation step Stability Study Next navigation step Stability Study Next navigation step Change End of the navigation path .

The initial screen for changing a stability study appears.

  1. On the initial screen, enter the key of the stability study you want to process and then choose Enter .

The screen for changing the stability study data appears.

  1. In the action box on the right side of the screen, choose the follow-up function Create Testing Schedule .

A dialog box for creating the testing schedule appears. This dialog box contains proposals for the testing schedule key, short text, maintenance plan category, and inspection type.

  1. Change the proposed data, if necessary, and then enter data for the following fields:

  • Strategy

Specify the strategy to be used for this stability study.

  • Scheduling period

Specify the duration of the stability study by entering a time value and time unit (for example, 12 months or 5 years).

  1. Choose one of the following options in the dialog box, depending on how you want to proceed:

  • Create Testing Schedule, Save/Exit Notification

  • Create Testing Schedule, Save/Change Notification

Result

A testing schedule has been created, which contains items for all storage conditions in the stability study. You can now process the testing schedule to assign an inspection plan to each storage condition.
