Specifying Storage Conditions in a Stability Study

Use

To prepare for the stability tests, you must select the storage conditions under which you intend to store and test the stability samples. In this procedure, you select these storage conditions and assign them to the stability study.

Prerequisites

You have defined all required storage conditions in Customizing for Quality Management by choosing Start of the navigation path Stability Study Next navigation step Basic Data Next navigation step Define Storage Conditions End of the navigation path .

Procedure

  1. From the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Quality Management Next navigation step Stability Study Next navigation step Stability Study Next navigation step Change End of the navigation path .

The initial screen for changing a stability study appears.

  1. On the initial screen, enter the key of the stability study you want to process and then choose Enter .

The screen for changing the stability study data appears.

  1. In the action box on the right side of the screen, choose the follow-up function Specify Storage Conditions .

A dialog box for selecting the storage conditions appears.

  1. Select the storage conditions you need.

  2. Enter a physical-sample quantity for each storage condition that you selected.

  3. The quantity you enter for a storage condition will be multiplied by the number of planned tests for the storage condition when you print the storage list , to calculate a proposal for the sample quantity to be stored. It is therefore recommended that you enter a default quantity for the storage condition that would be needed to test the storage condition exactly once.

  4. Choose one of the following options in the dialog box, depending on how you want to proceed:

  • Specify Storage Conditions, Save/Exit Notification

  • Specify Storage Conditions, Save/Change Notification

Result

The system has saved the selected storage conditions in the stability study and has automatically created a physical-sample record for each storage condition. Each physical-sample record identifies the physical sample that will later be stored under the respective storage condition.
