Caution Caution

As of SAP ERP 6.0 Support Package Stack (SPS) 09, the iViews Start Processes (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.eeselection) and HRAS Process have a Web Dynpro ABAP-based user interface for starting processes. In future, new functions will only be provided for the Web Dynpro ABAP version.

Therefore, we recommend that as of SAP ERP 6.0 SPS09, that you no longer use the Start Processes (com.sap.pct.erp.mss.pcrasr) iView and that you implement the new iViews instead.

Managers can use this iView to request an administrative change for an employee. This iView allows managers to select HR Administrative Services processes as well as Personnel Change Requests . For managers, these request types are the same. However, the HR department further processes these requests in different ways:

  • The HR Administrator responsible handles HR Administrative Services processes using the Business Package for HR Administrator (SAP ERP) .

    In the standard system, the Organizational Change process is implemented as the sample process for the iView. Managers can use this process to request the organizational reassignment of an employee to a new position that is outside of their area of responsibility. For more information about this sample process, see Transfer (International) .

    You can implement any other or additional processes.

  • The HR Administrator responsible handles Personnel Change Requests using the Personnel Administration (PA-PA) application component.

    In the standard SAP system, managers can select from the change requests listed under Delivered Request Scenarios .

  • You can use the ProcGrp application parameter to assign a process group created in Customizing to this iView. In the standard system no value is defined for this parameter. For more information, see the documentation for the Start Processes iView of the Business Package for HR Administrator (SAP ERP) .

  • The list of employees from which the manager can select in this iView is provided by the Object and Data Provider. The organizational structure view group MSS_PCR_SELECT is entered in the self-service parameter viewGroup for this iView. For more information, see Object and Data Provider .
