Reference Ranges in Line Graphs
Reference ranges in line graphs show deviations from the normal range of measurements using colored backgrounds or icons. The system displays reference ranges for vital signs and for customer-specific data sources. Reference ranges of measurements comprise a normal range, a warning range and a critical range.
Prerequisites
The following prerequisites must be satisfied for the Smart Chart to be able to display reference ranges and/or the corresponding icons in line graphs:
You have made the necessary settings for reference ranges in Customizing. For more information, see Creating Line Graphs.
In case of values from customer-specific data sources you have made the necessary settings in the

Features
Depending on the settings in Customizing, the Smart Chart can also highlight deviations, in addition to the reference ranges, using certain icons.
Note
Note that the meaning of the icons of values from customer-specific data sources can differ from the meaning for vital signs, depending on the Customizing settings.
The system displays the following icons for vital signs and for values from customer-specific data sources:

If additional information exists for a value (a comment or flagging as dubious), the system displays this value with the 
icon.
If several deviating values overlap the system will display the corresponding icon for overlapping, depending on the reference range.
If multiple warnings exist for a value, the system only displays the most serious warning: A red warning is more serious than an orange warning, which, in turn, is more serious than information shown in blue. Thus a mixed situation comprising a critical warning range (red) and questionable value (blue) is represented by the same icon as a mixture of critical warning range (red) and warning range (orange).
