Smart Chart displays physician orders in event graphs. The system identifies each physician order status with an icon.

Prerequisites

For Smart Chart to display an event chart with Physician Orders data source, the following conditions must be satisfied:

  • You created physician orders for the data source and combined them in a chart layout in Customizing for chart elements.

    For more information, see Creating Event Graphs.

  • When you launched Smart Chart you selected a chart layout that also contains the graph for displaying physician orders.

Features

The system displays physician orders with the following physician order statuses:

  • Entered

  • Released

  • Executed

The system displays overlapping physician orders with an icon displaying 3 overlapping stethoscopes.

You can find more information on the individual physician orders in the quick info texts for the individual physician orders. Alternatively you can display information on the physician order in the editing dialog of the Physician Order component. To do this you choose the relevant physician order by double-clicking with the mouse.
