In order to be able to enter medical objects in the patient organizer or the documentation work station in SAP Ambulatory Care Management on a problem-oriented basis, system administration must enable the use of health problems in the system.

Activities

System administration must execute the following activities in order to enable the use of health problems:

  • Set system parameters

    For each institution you determine in system parameter N1STMREC whether health problems are active.

  • Create aspect for health problems

    To provide the user with problem entry, you must create a corresponding aspect for the patient organizer or for the patient viewer in the documentation work station of SAP Ambulatory Care Management.

  • Create situation for the documentation work station

    In order to be able to enter objects in the documentation work station in SAP Ambulatory Care Management on a problem-oriented basis, you must create a corresponding situation in the template management for the documentation work station (transaction N2WLD). The Health Problem base item type is provided for this purpose.

  • Import problem catalogs

    You can use the report RN1STRUCMRCAT to import problem catalogs. On the server you save a CSV file which corresponds to the structure of the catalog table and enter the path in the entry screen of the report.

    You can manage and edit the entries in the imported problem catalog using the system’s table maintenance (transaction SE30).

    Note Note

    During development the catalog ICPC2 from WONCA has been used as a reference catalog. You can use several problem catalogs. You control this using the KATID field of table N1STRUCMEDRECCAT.

    Note that the catalog ICPC2 from WONCA contains a Component field. Due to WONCA definition you can only map problems from components 1 and 7. If you select a problem with the component 2 to 6, the system will display a corresponding warning message. You can ignore this warning message and still save the problem.

  • Set User Parameters

    You can use the user parameter N1_NO_COMPLETED_PROB to determine, whether the system displays inactive medical problems as standard.
