Configure Clinical Orders for Surgeries
Users can create surgery registrations using clinical orders. You must define an order type for this. For more information about configuring order types, see Configuring Order Type.
You should note the following for order types which are used to register surgeries:
Order filler is a performer of surgery orders
You must set the Surgery indicator for the order filler of the order in the order type.
For more information, see Order Filler Tab Page.
You can use clinical orders with or without order items which are preregistrations. See also Other tab page.
Preregistered order items can be used for long-term planning; they need not be specified completely.
For example, you can enter preregistered order items for patients with provisional master data.

The system provides the following application components for surgeries:
Surgery Indicators Application Component (Item Component)
Surgery Team application component (item component)
In clinical orders the system presets some information from the service master of the ordered services. For more information, see Presetting Surgeries.
