Procedure documentationConfiguring Orders

From the surgery monitor, the user can enter orders for preliminary or follow-up examinations. The user can transfer ordered services into a request.

Note Note

Ordered services cannot be transferred into clinical orders.

End of the note.

Procedure

  1. Define a service status for ordered services.

Ordered services are created with the service status “ordered”. When the service is transferred into a request, its status changes.

You can find more information in the Implementation Guide under Start of the navigation path SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Component Clinical System Next navigation step Service Management Next navigation step Services Next navigation step Maintain Service Status End of the navigation path.

  2. Define the assignment types for the procedure proposal in the corresponding system parameters.

You define the system parameters in the Implementation Guide under Start of the navigation path SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Component Clinical System Next navigation step IS-H*MED: Global Settings Next navigation step System Parameters Next navigation step Define Institution as Time-Dependent End of the navigation path.

You can define a preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative procedure proposal using the system parameters as follows:

    System Parameters

    Meaning

    N1OPVZUO

Assignment type for a preoperative service proposal

    N1OPIZUO

Assignment type for an intraoperative service proposal

    N1OPNZUO

Assignment type for a postoperative service proposal

    Note Note

You should note that you must set the maintenance indicator to "Other" for these assignment types.

    End of the note.
  3. Using these assignment types, create service groups for the procedure proposal for orders.

    See Configure the Procedure Proposal.

  4. Create a service for free text orders.

Free text orders are processed using a special service. When the user creates a free text order, the long text editor is called for him or her to enter the order text.

You can find detailed information on the service properties under Configure Free Text Orders.

  5. Enter the service for the textual order in the system order in system parameter N1LSTEXT.

You define the system parameter N1LSTEXT in the Implementation Guide under Start of the navigation path SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Component Clinical System Next navigation step Global Settings Next navigation step System Parameters Next navigation step Define Institution as Time-Independent End of the navigation path.
