Configure Document Profile for the Surgery Monitor
To configure the surgery monitor, you must create an organizational unit-related (OU-related) document profile with OR documents.
You can find detailed information on configuring the OU-related document profile under OU-Related Document Profile.
You must bear the following in mind when defining the document profile for surgery:
Document Profile ID
Enter 1 for the document profile ID to use a document category for the main surgery in the surgery monitor. If you wish to use a document category for the secondary surgery in the surgery monitor, enter 2 for the document profile ID. If a document profile for secondary surgeries is not maintained for an OU, an existing profile for the main surgery is used.
The document categories assigned to the OU have a period of validity. You can assign a document category to an OU in every profile (and use) only once at any given time.
Assignment type for use
In the assignment type for the use (column OPT), you specify the branch of the surgery monitor in which a document category is to be displayed. The following table contains a selection that is relevant for the surgery system:
Assignment Type |
Meaning |
|---|---|
PC |

In the assignment types OPT2
and OPT3
, you can enter further branches of the surgery monitor, where the document category will also be displayed.
Using the priority, you control the sequence within a branch.
Internal Use
In Internal Use, you specify the use in the OR documentation. This information is required to access certain document contents for the evaluations. Possible uses from the surgery system perspective are:
Surgical documentation
OR nursing log
OR log
Surgery report
Premedication rounds
Anesthesia log
Anesthesia nursing log
Recovery room log
Additional scientific documentation
Times
Team
Complications
For more information about the possible entries, see the field help.
Documenting OU
You can specify a different OU that will be recorded as the documenting OU when the documents are created.
Add to OR Register indictor
Set the Add to OR Register
indicator, if a document category is to be output in the Documents section in the OR register.
Movement Necessary
indicator
In the document profile for the surgery monitor, you can define which action should be started if a movement does not exist for a document does not yet contain a movement. For the possible values, see the field help.
Using the document profile, you can integrate the standard dialog applications, such as for surgery team entry, material entry, entering services and complications. To do this, you must create special document categories, and enter these in the document profile of the surgery monitor.
You can find detailed information on creating document categories under Creating Document Categories for Dialog Applications in Surgery Monitor.
