Creating an Appointment Series
You can create appointments which belong together as appointment series. You can take into account time-related dependencies (minimum and maximum interval) between the appointments.
To create an appointment series you call one of the following functions for searching for an appointment in a view of the Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility
view type in the clinical work station:
Furthermore, the
(Find Appointment
) function is also available in the planning grid, which corresponds to the Find MED Appointment
function in the clinical work station.
You access the Find Open Time Slot
dialog box.
You enter the search criteria for the appointment search in the Appointment Search
dialog window. You can search for appointments for several treatment units (Enhanced Search
tab page) or follow-up visits (Standard Search
tab page). The system creates these appointments as appointments which belong to a series. You define further settings such as search period, number of alternatives to be searched for, time slot selection on the Settings
tab page.
Choose
(Open Time Slots
).
The Create Appointment
dialog box appears.
On the Appointments/Timeslots
tab page of the Find Appointment
dialog box the system displays the list of appointments found.
On this tab page you will find the following options for processing the timeslot:
(Edit Appointment/Repeat Appointment
) You select/deselect appointments using the hotspot on the
(Time
) column. This function provides additional processing functions for the appointment.

)
You have the option to search for additional appointments with the same search variant.

The Appointment search
dialog box reappears. The system provides the existing search criteria. You can change the search criteria such as scheduling type, duration, minimum interval, maximum interval, etc..
Caution
If you do not transfer all the appointments of the time slot first proposed, you have to transfer the appointments before you can save them.
If you do not transfer all the appointments for the appointment series from the time slot, the screen area on the Appointments/Time Slots
tab page splits. In the upper table you see the transferred the time slots, in the lower table you see the time slots which have not been transferred.
You can enter additional appointments with the following functions for the transferred appointments:

The Appointment Search
dialog box appears. You can continue the search with new search criteria.
In addition, this button provides a selection list containing the following functions:
Additional Appointment
You can enter appointments directly. You access the Maintain Appointment
dialog box and can manually create appointment data.
Patient Appointments
You can add an appointment that already exists for the patient to the appointment series. The system displays the Appointment Selection
dialog box. The system will only display the appointments of the patient for which planning authority exists. You can only transfer appointments which are not part of an appointment series and which do not have a reference to a movement in Actual status. This function is not available if the series was created using joint planning.
(Change Appointment(s)
)
You can change the appointment data. You can only move an appointment if it is not yet connected to a movement in ACTUAL status.
(Display Appointment(s)
)
You can see the repeat appointments.
(Remove Appointment(s)
)
You remove an appointment from the appointment series. The appointments will only be removed from the series when you save the appointment series.
(Cancel Appointment(s)
)
You cancel the selected appointment(s).
(Cancel Appointment Series
)
You cancel all the appointments of the appointment series.
Clinical Order
(Create Clinical Order
)
You can create a clinical order if you are creating a new appointment.
On the Timeslot Information
tab page you can enter more precise details for an appointment.
Save the appointments.
