Within the framework of Collective Processing of appointments, you can move an appointment block, i.e. several appointments of a day with the same planning object, in one work step.

Note Note

If only day-based appointments in the same column of a planning object/date are included in a multiple selection, you can only move these into another column of the time grid of the planning grid in the area for day-based appointments. The IS-H functions (Move Appointment Block) are not used. In this case the system does not check the scheduling type and other criteria.

If the multiple selection includes day-based and time-based appointments, this function is not available.

In addition to the checks performed for individual appointments, the system will also take into account the following properties of the appointments of the appointment block:

  • Appointments which are not connected to any dependent objects, can be moved between time periods and planning objects.

  • The user can only move appointments with services to planning objects which can also perform the service.

    Note Note

    If one of the checks could not be performed successfully, the system displays an error message and aborts processing. In this case the system does not move any of the appointments contained within the appointment block.

    Caution Caution

    Moving appointment blocks uses the logic of the SAP Patient Management appointment management and uses scheduling types for the re-planning of the appointment block. This can mean that it is not possible to move an appointment block into a time period, which is flagged as free in the time grid of the planning grid (because the planning grid takes into account the duration and the planning authority instead of the duration of the scheduling type).

    If you cannot move an appointment block for this reason, you must move the appointments of the appointment block individually.

    To be able to move appointment blocks unrestrictedly, we recommend you reconfigure the day programs so that the number of scheduling types corresponds to the entire time period of a day program.

Procedure

  1. Select an appointment block or a time period or area for day-based appointments in the planning grid and call the Plan Appointment or Change Appointment function or move the appointment block by dragging it (Drag&Drop) to another day or another planning object.

    Note Note

    You cannot move several appointments using Drag&Drop or using the Plan Appointment function if you have selected individual appointments by clicking and holding Ctrl.

  2. Click on the time (time grid or area for day-based appointment) in the time grid to which the selected appointments should be moved.

    • If you move the appointment block using the Plan Appointment or Change Appointment functions, you access the Move Appointment Block dialog box, depending on the organizational unit-related Parameter N1PTBKED (value X).

      Enter the source and destination in this dialog box and then choose Execute (Execute).

      The system presets the data with the standard values from the Business Add-In (BAdI) N1_APPS_MOVE (BAdI for presetting move dialog during collective processing), if this is in use.

    • If you move the appointment block with Drag&Drop, the system will not display the Move Appointment Block dialog box.
