Organizational Unit-Related Parameters - Planning Grid
Using the following OU-related parameter the system administrator can influence the functionality of the planning grid (time-based planning).
You use the following organizational unit-related parameters to make settings for the planning grid.
You define the corresponding OU-related parameters in the SAP Easy Access
screen under .
The time grid of the planning grid displays a horizontal line every x minutes. With this parameter you determine the value of x. You define the parameter for the planning OU.
For the parameter value you can use all whole numbers that are factors of 60, i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 30 and 60. The value 10 (10 minutes) is set as the default.
You can use this parameter to control the spacing between the two horizontal lines of the time grid in the planning grid. You must enter the value in the resolution-independent Twips unit. You define the parameter for the planning OU.
Example
A value of 250 on a 17 inch monitor with a resolution 1024x768 pixels this represents a space of approximately 4 millimeters. 250 is set as the default.
You can use this parameter to determine how often the system should attempt to find replacement days for days which are not displayed in the planning grid (days with neither time slots not planning authority).
This parameter is only relevant when you use a display variant of the planning grid with the option Days with Timeslot
or Days with Planning Authority
.
You use this parameter to determine whether an appointment should be planned in the planning grid with or without the processing dialog box.
You define the parameter for the planning OU.
X: Plan appointment with processing dialog box
Space: Plan appointment without processing dialog box (standard value)
Note
This parameter is also relevant when moving an appointment block. If you set the parameter value to X, the user will access the dialog box to move an appointment block.
See Moving an Appointment Block.
You can use this parameter to control whether collective processing of appointments occurs in the planning grid with or without a dialog box.
1: Collective processing without a dialog box
2: Collective processing with a dialog box
Space: Use parameter value of parameter N1PTBKED
(standard value)
You use this parameter to determine whether an appointment should be created with a template in the planning grid with or without the processing dialog box.
You define the parameter for the planning OU.
1: Create appointment with template without processing dialog box
2: Create appointment with template without processing dialog box
Space: Use parameter value of parameter N1PTBKED
(standard value), i.e. the behavior of the system is derived from parameter N1PTBKED
With this parameter you can determine whether the system should expand the worklist tree down to the service level when the planning grid is called:
X: Expand services
Space: Do not expand services (standard value).
With this parameter you define the preferred mode (display of the multi-planning tools) for the planning grid:
1: OU-related display, i.e. there is one tab page for each OU
2: Date-related display, i.e. there is one tab page for each day
Note
This system will not take this parameter into account when calling the planning grid with display variants, since the setting is made in the display variant.
With the OU parameter N1PTOANZ
you define whether the system should also display the working hours of the OUs and rooms in the time grid, as well as the schedulable times. This entry is then valid for the planning OU.
X: Display opening times
Space: Do not display opening times
When you call the planning grid, the system will highlight the first patient in the worklist as standard. In the OU-related display, the planning grid will simultaneously offer the time grid of the correct
OU:
If you are planning a follow-up visit, this is the OU defined by the parameter WIDB_ORGID
.
If you are planning an appointment for requested or preregistered services, this is the first OU in the tab page sequence, which can perform the services.
With parameter N1PTRCHS
you define whether the system should propose this correct
OU when a patient is highlighted in the worklist - using the Select Patient
pushbutton - and not only when the planning grid is called. It is not sufficient to focus on the patient in the worklist.
As standard the planning grid will assume the value of the parameter is X, which means that it will propose the correct
tab page when a patient is highlighted.
Example
Two patients with preregistrations appear in the worklist of the planning grid. The services of the first patient can be performed by the CT Outpatient Clinic
OU. The services of the second patient can be performed by the US Outpatient Clinic
OU. As standard, the first patient of the worklist is selected. The system will propose the CT Outpatient Clinic
OU in the time grid.
If you then select the second patient using the Select Patient
pushbutton, the system will change the proposed OU in the time grid to the US Outpatient Clinic
.
With this parameter you can determine how many organizational units the system can simultaneously display in the time grid of the planning grid. You define the parameter for the planning OU.
For a resolution of 1024x768 pixels and a 17 inch monitor, we recommend 4 – 7 organizational units.
Note
This system will not take this parameter into account when calling the planning grid with display variants, since the setting is made in the display variant.
Using this parameter you can define the earliest point in time which can be reached by scrolling in the time grid of the planning grid.
You should enter the desired time using the following format: HH:MM (two-digit entry of hours and minutes, separated by a colon).
Using this parameter you can define the latest point in time which can be reached by scrolling in the time grid of the planning grid.
You should enter the desired time using the following format: HH:MM (two-digit entry of hours and minutes, separated by a colon).
You can use this parameter to choose whether the system should (Display All Services) or (Only Display Plannable Services) in the worklist of the planning grid.
See Tab Page on Item Level
The system will check the parameter value for the planning organizational unit.
All services (standard value)
Only plannable services
Note
This function is available to you if you have activated the business function Clinical System Situation-Based Clinical Documentation
(ISHMED_SCD
).
You use this parameter to control how the services in the worklist of the planning grid should be sorted. The system will check the parameter value for the planning organizational unit.
By ordered service (standard value)
chronologically
This function is available to you if you have activated the business function Clinical System Situation-Based Clinical Documentation
(ISHMED_SCD
).
You store the time period to be displayed in this OU parameter. You define the parameter for the planning OU.
As the parameter value, you enter the number of days which should be displayed. All values greater than or equal to 1 are valid. One day is used as the standard value.
Note
This system will not take this parameter into account when calling the planning grid with display variants, since the setting is made in the display variant.
You use this parameter to determine which time grid should be used in the planning grid to plan appointments in the planning grid. The value corresponds to the entry in minutes.
Example
A value of 10 means that you can set appointments in a 10 minute grid for the relevant OU and for all subsequent resources.
You use this OU parameter to determine whether the system should adapt the start time of the time grid (according to OU parameter N1PTTMNR
) or the time slot when creating an appointment by double-clicking in an area with planning authority and a time slot in the time grid of the planning grid.
You can find detailed information in the input help for the OU parameter.
This parameter determines whether the system should automatically exit the planning grid once you have planned the last entry in the worklist.
X: Exit planning grid
Space: Do not exit planning grid (standard )
You can use this parameter to control whether the system should display the service code or the service description.
When several services are displayed, the system will separate the service texts using commas.
1: Display service code
2. Display service description (standard value)
You can use this parameter to control the appearance of clinical orders in the worklists of the planning grid and day-based planning:
1: All items of a clinical order area visible in the worklist (standard value).
2: The system only displays the clinical order items that you selected before calling the planning grid or day-based planning.
The system will check the parameter value for the following organizational unit (OU):
In the planning grid, for the planning OU
In day-based planning, for the OU to be planned (as no planning OU exists).
You use this parameter to define fan average duration of movement for the planning grid and the patient appointment calendar, which
the system uses as the duration of the movement in the Patient’s Planned Appointment
area in the planning grid, if the movement is not connected with an appointment.
the system takes into account during the appointment clash check of a patient. Note that the collision clash check also takes into account unplanned visits. The system will use a duration of 2 hours as standard.
The system checks the parameter value for the OU at which the visit will take place.
You use this parameter to control how high you wish to display an individual day-based appointment (in pixels) in the vertical display of the day-based appointments in the day-based area of the planning grid for the planning OU.
The value of 480 (standard value) is used as a guideline value.
Note
The user parameter N1PT_DBA_HEIGHT
overrides this OU parameter.
With this parameter, you can specify the planning tool which the system should call as standard. This parameter affects follow-up appointments.
1: IS-H scheduling will be called as the planning tool (standard value)
2: i.s.h.med: Planning grid will be called as the planning tool
Create this parameter for the corresponding organizational unit for each planning variant:
for a visit for the nursing OU of the visit
for an appointment for the OU for which the appointment is planned
for a service for the performing OU of the service
You use this parameter to decide whether the system calls the team entry function or the planning grid in the following cases:
Use of the Time
hotspot in the Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility
view type
Call of the Confirm Request
function
The system calls the planning grid if you set this parameter to P.
You create this parameter for the planning OU.
Note
To control the call of the planning grid in the clinical order, use parameter N1VKGPLVIS
. For more information, see Organizational Unit-Related Parameters for Clinical Orders.
With this parameter you can specify which OU the follow-up visit should be planned for. If this parameter is not maintained, the system will create the follow-up appointment for the calling OU.
You can find out the valid entries using the input help.
The user should be able to create appointments for times outside of the day program, but within his planning authority, by double-clicking.
To use this function in the planning grid you should maintain the parameter OE_DISPTYP
, which provides the scheduling type of the treatment OU.
Caution
You should note that you must change the value of this parameter from the date when you introduce a new scheduling type and declare the previous scheduling type used to be invalid.
Note the following procedure for the presetting of the scheduling type:
Appointment allocation and surgery planning in i.s.h.med takes the scheduling type to be used for an appointment from the parameter OE_DISPTYP, provided that the scheduling type is not preset otherwise, for example, on the basis of the time slot.
Presetting is made once, i.e. if you remove the preset scheduling type, the system does not preset the value again. The system only presets the scheduling type if you have not selected any other scheduling type.
Caution
Note the following exception:
If, when changing an appointment, you choose a different treatment OU or other date, the scheduling type is only preset, if you do not select a different scheduling type.
If the value of the OU parameter OE_DISPTYP
is invalid or not maintained, the system uses the first valid scheduling type from the table of Scheduling Types
.
If you reschedule an existing appointment without dialog in such a way that the treatment OU changes and the scheduling type becomes invalid, the system presets the scheduling type with the value of the parameter OE_DISPTYP
.
If you double-click a free time area in the planning grid and the scheduling type is missing, the system presets the scheduling type with the value of the parameter OE_DISPTYP
.
N1CSCHG
You use this parameter to define whether a reason is required when you release a plan.
N1CSCHGTXT
You use this parameter to define whether the entry of a reason comes from customizing or from the free text.
N1RLSPDIA
You use this parameter to define whether the plan should be released with or without a dialog.
N1CSCHGDEF
You use this parameter to determine which change reason (table N1CSCHG
) is used as standard as the change reason for the relevant organizational unit (OU).
