Creating/Changing Display Variants in Planning Grid
A display variant in the planning grid is an individual configuration of the planning grid. Using a display variant system administration or the user can make the following settings:
Display mode (OU, date, planning object)
Tap Pages
Planning objects to be displayed
You can assign the created display variants to users or roles.
Caution
You should note that the following OU parameters are not taken into account when the planning grid is called with a display variant, as the settings are made in the display variant.
N1PTTAGE
N1PTMODE
N1PTRNO
See OU Parameter Time-Based Planning – Planning Grid
You must have the necessary authorization for creating or changing the authorization object N_VM_DEF
.
You can create display variants directly in the planning grid or as the layout of a view in the Appointment Planning
view type.
In order to create a display variant, you have to create a planning grid layout in view type management as a view of the Appointment Planning
or Surgery Scheduling
view type. Choose
(Create
).
You access the Create Display Variants
dialog box.
To create a display variant in the planning grid that you call, for example, from the Outpatient Clinic /Service Facility
view type, choose in the planning grid menu.
You access the Planning Grid Display Variants
dialog box and receive an overview of the existing display variants. Here choose
(Create
) to define a new display variant or select a display variant and choose
(Change
) to change an existing display variant.
Choosing
(Create
) takes you to the Create Display Variant
dialog box.
Enter the name of the display variant and select a presentation mode, with which you determine how the time grid of the planning grid should be structured and which objects (e.g. organizational units) should be available as tab pages or within tab pages as columns.
Example
If you select the presentation mode Organizational Unit
(OU), the planning grid will display OUs as tab pages. There are columns for each tab page. These columns then contain the planning objects (e.g. a specific physician).
You access the dialog box for creating the display variant.
The display variant consists of the following levels:
On the first level you define the properties of the tab pages.
The second level represents the date within a tab page (except with a date-oriented display).
At the lowest level you define the columns of a tab page.
Note
For date-oriented display variants you define properties at all three levels. For other display variants (OU or planning object) you must only define the first and third levels. You formulate the date for the second level when defining the first level.
Depending on the presentation mode select the OUs or planning objects which should be displayed as tab pages in this display variant of the planning grid. To create a new tab page, choose
(Tab Page
).
With a date-oriented display, you enter the number of days to be displayed in the Tab Page
input area. In the Grouping
input area (which need only be filled for date-oriented display) you define the OUs to be displayed.
You specify which weekday should appear first in the time grid of the planning grid (e.g. Monday) and which weekdays should be displayed in general (e.g. only Wednesdays and Fridays).
Example
You select the Date
presentation mode. In this display variant, the system should display the planning grid with 4 days, Monday to Thursday for the ECG
OU. The display variant should display 2 treatment rooms (planning objects) in the ECG department.
Select the tab pages and then choose
(Display Columns
).
The system displays the available OUs or planning objects (depending on the selected presentation mode) in the Columns For
input area.
Activate the desired OU or the desired planning object by clicking the
(-
) icon. The system identifies the activated objects with the
(-
) icon.
If you activate both the Days with Planning Authority
and the Days with Time Slots
fields, the system will then display the planning object concerned, if the day to be displayed has either a free appointment or planning authority for the planning OU.
If you activate the Plan Releases n Colored
(plan releases not colored) field, the system does not display the appointments for a release plan in the planning grid and in the Surgeries
view type of the clinical work station on a colored background.
The Change Display Variant
dialog enables you to preset the print settings using the pushbutton with the quick info text Print Settings
. You can define the settings for printing the planning grid with these print settings. See Print Planning Grid
Choose
(Check
) to check the display variant before saving.
If required data, such as columns for tab pages, is missing, the system will display relevant messages.
Save the display variant.
You return to the Planning Grid Display Variants
dialog box.
Choose Assignments
to assign the display variants to users
, roles
, planning OUs
or call modes
(e.g. Appointment Planning for an Initial Visit). With this assignment, you can assign several display variants to one user.
If several valid display variants exist for a combination of the role, user, planning OU and planning grid call mode (normal planning, initial visit, follow-up visit), you can use the Default indicator to define one of the variants as the default. The system will no longer display an additional dialog when you call the planning grid, if several valid display variants are available.
Note
Note that unlike in the variant management of ALV grids, several presettings are possible, as the indicator is always only valid for exactly one combination of these attributes.
You access assignment entry in the Display Variant Assignments
dialog box. In the Display Variants Assignment
dialog box you will see an overview of the display variant assignments.
You can also change or delete assignments.
You can change, or delete assignments, or create new assignments. You access assignment entry in the Display Variant Assignment
dialog box. When you enter an assignment you can also assign the display variant to a specific call mode Appointment Planning for an Initial Visit
.
Save the entered assignment.
Choose
(Exit
).
You have created a display variant for the planning grid and assigned this to users, roles, planning OUs and call modes. See Logic for Determining Display Variant
User parameters for the display variants are available for the users. See Planning Grid User Parameters
