Manual Substitution in Medication Events
You can use manual substitution in medication events.
Features
You can call manual substitution for medication events as follows:
in the order dialog on the
Events
(Replace Drug for Event
) tab page; see Creating Orders for Standard Drugsin the administration dialog
(Change Drug
) and
(Change Drug to Default
).
NoteThe
(Change to Default Drug
) function is only available if the drug of the event does not correspond to the drug which is currently generated as the drug to be used (without taking into consideration the manual replacement rule). (Replace Drugs
):In these views, you can also call the
(Replace Drug
) function for several events simultaneously. The system will group events with the same purpose and drugs thereby enabling you to convert these events together. See Medication Events/Inpatient Nursing Services
Following the selection of the drug to be replaced you can decide whether this replacement rule should also be used for future events.
The system determines the proposal list for drugs according to the following criteria:
same agent composition
type of drug category
usability
You can override the proposal list with the Business Add-In ISHMED_ME_DRUG_SUBST
