The Order Management tab page includes all user-specific presettings relevant for the order.

Caution Caution

Note that the entered user-specific presettings (e.g. configuration, reason for ending an order, etc.) are primarily used for the order dialog outside of the documentation work station.

Within the documentation work station the system uses these settings only if no relevant settings have been entered in the base item for medication orders.

The following group boxes are available for user-specific presettings on the Order Management tab page:

  • Order Presettings

    In this group box you can defined, for example, the following presettings for the order:

    • You can determine which unit should be used as the unit for the issue quantity (e.g. the dose unit, the package unit or the value entered in the organizational unit-related parameter N1ME_DEFDU).

    • You can determine whether the order duration or the end date and time should be entered when you create an order, or the value entered in the organizational unit-related parameter (OU parameter) N1ME_ORDP.

    • You can determine the order start time (e.g. system time, value entered in the organizational unit-related parameter N1ME_DTIM).

  • Order Display

    In this group box you can define, for example, the following presettings for the display of orders:

    • You can select a configuration for the display of orders in the order dialog. You can also create, change or delete configurations here.

      If you create a configuration you must assign an ID and name for the configuration. In the subsequent dialog box you can select, for example, a chart layout, and use variant management to determine a layout variant and a function variant.

    • You can determine whether the remaining administration times of the organizational unit for which no medication event is planned, should be displayed in the chart.

    • You can determine that the dose definition should be displayed in fraction form (e.g. 1 - ½ -1).

  • Functional settings

    In this group box you can define, for example, the following functional settings:

    • You can determine reasons which are preset as standard when an order is ended.

    • You can determine how the system should proceed when ordering an individual drug of a drug kit, if the entire drug kit is not ordered, and an order already exists for the same patient for another drug of this drug kit.

      Example Example

      You have created a drug kit, which consists of an eye ointment and eye drops. You order only the eye ointment for a patient. The system ”realizes“ that this drug belongs to a drug kit and creates a background connection between the order for the drug and the drug kit.

      At a later date you order the eye drops for the same patient. Due to this presetting the system assigns the order for this drug to the connection to the drug kit, creates a new connection between the drugs and a drug kit or shows the user a selection dialog where he can select the connection.

    • Flow rate calculation: You can determine whether the system should use the volume and the duration to calculate the flow rate or the volume and the flow rate to calculate the duration.

      This user-specific presetting replaces the system parameter N1MEICAL.

  • Order Sequence Settings

    In this group box you can define the following settings for order sequences:

    • You can determine the reason which is preset as standard when an order is ended when this order is renewed (creation of a subsequent order).

    • You can determine the system behavior when a dose is changed (Change Dose function).

    • You can determine that when a subsequent order is created (e.g. Change Drug, Change Administration Route functions, etc.) the system should not call the dialog for alternatives.

    • You can determine how the system should handle an existing check condition during the creation of a subsequent order (e.g. retain, replace new drug with check condition, etc.).
