The extended view contains additional information on the data in the compressed view of an order.

Note Note

When you order a drug kit the system will create a separate order for each drug in the drug kit. For each order for a drug kit drug, the tab pages in the enhanced view therefore depend on the drug category of the drug (e.g. infusion, standard drug, etc.)

In the enhanced view the user can enter additional data for the order regardless of the Drug Category, e.g. ingredients for compounds.

Note Note

You can use the Business Add-In N1ME_DYNAM_SUBSCR to customer-specifically control the dynamic screen area for the additional data of the order. This means that you can determine, for example, the sequence of the tab pages, the description of the tab pages, and the screen area which should be open on initial access.

Structure

Tab Pages for all Drugs

The enhanced view contains the following tab pages for all drugs:

  • Medication Order: This tab pages contains order information, such as the order number, order type, status of order, ordering organizational unit (OU), administration device, indications.

    Note Note

    Indications are classifications from classification systems, which are flagged as indication systems. The system transfers the possible indications from the drug search. You can change the transferred indications as long as the order has not been activated.

    In the patient’s own medication you can determine whether the patient administers the drug(s) of the patient’s own medication himself, or whether a member of the nursing staff should perform the administration.

    Note Note

    When you create an anamnestic order the system flags this as an anamnestic order in the field for the patient’s own medication. You cannot change this value.

  • Sliding Dose This tab page contains any information concerning a sliding dose.

  • Event: This tab page contains information on the medication events of this order such as, for example, the fill source of the first event, preparation directions, documenting OU of the event, etc.

    In the event table of this tab page the system displays the generated events for this order with information, such as the event number (event ID), planned start of event, fill source, planned drug quantity, the container size of the drug, etc.

Furthermore this tab page also provides functions for inserting new events and deleting generated events.

Note Note

If you wish to execute quick administration, choose Quick Administration (Quick Administration). See Quick Administration. You should note, however, that you can only execute quick administration for one event. If you select several or no events the system displays an error message.

Additional Tab Pages for Compounds

The Ingredients tab page is additionally available as standard for compounds. This tab page contains information such as the weight and height of the patient, the total dose for the patient, the recipe quantity of the compound to be administered, etc..

Additional Tab Pages for Infusions

The following additional tab pages are available as standard for infusions:

  • Ingredients: This tab page contains information such as the quantity (volume) of the infusion, administration duration, the duration of the flow rate, localization for medication, etc.. The tab page also contains information concerning the weight and height of the patient, which can be used to calculate ingredient quantities.

  • Flow Rates: This tab page contains information on the flow rate such as the quantity to be administered (volume), administration duration, etc..

    A flow rate table is available for entering further flow rates and their calculation in relation to the body weight and body surface area of the patient. Above the flow rate table you can find specific input fields for patient-controlled analgesia (PCA). These fields are used to determine the lock duration of the PCA and the number of permitted boli within a specific period of time.

Additional Tab Pages for Nutritional Solutions

The following additional tab pages are available as standard for nutritional solutions (TPN):

  • Ingredients: The structure of this tab page is generally the same as the tab page for infusions. You should note that the solution quantity is the quantity remaining when you subtract the volumes of the ingredients and additives from the ordered total volume of the nutritional solution. The total quantity of the ingredient volumes can be found above the ingredient table.

    Note Note

    The ingredient table is the same for compounds, infusions and nutritional solutions and contains information about the drug and its ingredients such as the mnemonic, drug short description, active ingredient, calculation method, dose strength, total dose for patient, quantity to be administered, etc..

  • Flow Rates: This tab page contains information on the weight of the patient, height of the patient and additive ingredients. The total quantity of the ingredient volumes can be found below the ingredient table.
