Methods Tab Page
Using separate methods, components can offer business logic which is executed at defined times. On the Methods
tab page system administration can make the assignment of methods to status changes of the assigned status profiles.
Note
For SAP Patient Management (IS-H) customers, the assignment of external methods to status changes is not possible and the Methods
tab page is therefore not available.
The system executes these methods for one or several specific status changes of the corresponding order item.
Example
When you confirm a radiology order, the documents for the STUDY and EXAM should be created. The system administrator must therefore assign the relevant method to the status change Entered -> Confirmed.

On the Methods
tab page you can specify component methods for the clinical order, which are called at specific times. The Save time is available in addition to the status transitions. If you determine that a component method should be called at Save
time, the system will call this method each time the clinical order is saved.
Note
Note that if you select the Once
checkbox, the system will only call this method the first time the clinical order is saved.
You can use the Save
time, for example, to set ordered services to Confirmed
status (CF) the first time the clinical order is saved.
This function is available to you if you have activated the business function Clinical System Situation-Based Clinical Documentation
(ISHMED_SCD
).
