The Radiology application component provides the fields for entering the contraindications and radiological patient data required for radiological examinations.

 

This application component is an item component. This means that the user can enter radiology-relevant information in the Item Level Tab Page area for the order items of the clinical order.

System administration decides whether the user should enter this information in the corresponding order header in the clinical order. In addition, the system administration defines the name of the tab page that is available for the radiology-relevant information.

Methods

You can integrate the following methods for the radiology component on the Methods Tab Page in the order type:

  • CREATE_RAD_DOCUS

    The Radiology application component provides this method for creating the radiology documents(EXAM and STUDY documents). The conversion of the status of a relevant order item activates this method and therefore creates the radiology documents.

  • CHECK_RADIOLOGY_DATA

    In the service master you can determine for radiological services (services where the Image-Rendering Process indicator is set), that the entry of the following data is mandatory:

    • Query Pacemaker

    • Query Metal Implants

    • Contrast Medium Application

    In the radiology component you can use the assignment between this method CHECK_RADIOLOGY_DATA and a status change, if and when the check for this mandatory entry should take place.

The application component contains, for example, the following fields for entering radiology-relevant information:

  • Metal Implants

  • Pacemaker

  • Allergy to Contrast Medium

  • Patient Height

  • Weight

  • X-Ray Log
