You can terminate an entry in the nursing plan to signal that this entry is no longer necessary. This can be necessary, for example, if all goals of the entry have been achieved or the nursing diagnosis is no longer correct. In this way a nursing plan remains clear in the standard view setting, because the system only displays active entries in this view.

Procedure

To terminate an entry in a nursing plan, proceed as follows:

  1. Select an entry in the navigation area and then choose Terminate Entry (Terminate Entry).

  2. In the subsequent dialog box enter a termination reason and choose Continue.

    Note Note

    If the organizational unit-related parameter (OU-parameter) N1ENDNPE exists, the system presets the termination reason with this value.

  3. The system cancels the selected entry and all subordinate entries with the entered termination reason. It sets the status to “ended”.

    If one of the entries to be terminated is of the “nursing procedure” basic catalog category, the system will execute the following actions:

    • If generated nursing services already exist for this entry, the system cancels all planned nursing services which belong to this nursing procedure, with a planned date which is after the termination time.

      If the system parameter N1STORAS exists, the system will preset the cancellation reason with this value. If the system parameter does not exist, you must enter the cancellation reason in a dialog box.

      Caution Caution

      If one of the nursing services to be canceled is locked, the system cannot terminate all entries.

      End of the caution.

    • If Suspensions already exist for this entry, the system will cancel any with a start and end time in the future. The system ends any suspensions with a start time in the past and an end time in the future.

    • If a cycle already exists, the system will allocate an end date for this. See Cycle Processing

  4. The system returns to the nursing plan.

    Note Note

    In the Show Terminated Entries function the system only displays the terminated entries which you actually saved before the termination. The system deletes entries which you terminate and have not yet been saved.
