The assignment of a position to an employee group and an employee subgroup.
In Customizing in the ERP system, you use the Enterprise Structure
to define the basic organizational areas and units of your enterprise or organization, including for Human Resources. For more information, see Customizing and choose .
You use employee groups to define a rough structure of your staff. Typical employee groups are Active, Retired, Interns, Externs, for example. You use employee subgroups to differentiate the employee groups that you have defined and to represent the detailed structure. Typical employee subgroups of the employee group Active are Hourly Paid, Salaried Employee, Trainee, for example. You assign employee subgroups to employee groups in Customizing, under .
You can define Human Resources regulations for employee groups and employee subgroups. When entering HR master data, you assign an employee to an employee group and an employee subgroup. You thereby assign the employee the values defined for the employee group and employee subgroup. For more information, see Organizational Assignment (Infotype 0001).
You can use this infotype to assign an employee group and an employee subgroup to a position. This describes which employees are intended for this position.
When processing assignments between employees and positions, the system uses the data from this infotype as default values or fixed values for checks to ensure that consistent data is entered. For this, you need to have activated the integration. For more information about integration, see Data Model.
You have the following editing options:
Create
Choose New
to create a new data record. Since only one data record may exist for an object at a time, the system adjusts the validity periods of other existing data records as required. The system allows time gaps between individual data records.
Edit
Choose Edit
to change the data of an existing data record.
You can change the content of the data record by adjusting the existing data and leaving the validity period of this data record unchanged.
You can change the validity period of a data record. As a result, the system adjusts the validity periods of other existing data records or automatically creates additional data records to close time gaps. However, since the system allows time gaps between individual data records, you can delete unwanted data records.
Delete
Since the system allows time gaps between individual data records, you can delete unwanted data records. To do so, choose Delete
.
