Use

You use the MPD-specific tab pages of the Document Management System (DMS) (CV02N) to create a template required for working with maintenance plans on a mass scale.

We deliver the document type MPO with the Customizing settings mentioned below.

Prerequisites

For the following SAP objects, you must enter screen 0500 in Customizing under Cross-Application Components → Document Management → Control Data → Maintain Screen for Object Link

Note, that changing the DRAW screen to 0500 means the MPD-specific screen will be used for the Document Info Record (DIR) tab page instead of the standard tab page. From now on, we refer to it as the MPD Data Collector tab page due to the additional MPD functions. Changing the DRAW screen to 0500 must be done manually for the MPO document type, which is delivered.

To view MPD-specific tab pages you must maintain the DMS Customizing for the document type that you wish to use for MPD under Cross-Application Components → Document Management → Control Data → Define Document Types. Here you must select the document type and add the following object links by choosing Define Object Links:

Authorization objects:

If you want to insert, change, or delete the effectivity data on the MPD Effectivity tab page , your user needs to have change authorization for authorization objectI_MPDETAB

If you want to insert, change, or delete cycle data on the MPD Cycle Data tab page, your user needs to have change authorization for authorization objectI_CYCTAB

If you want to insert, change, or delete the header and item data on the MPD MP Header and Item tab page, your user needs to have change authorization for authorization objectI_PSDTAB

MPD-specific data cannot be used as search criteria for the DMS Find Document transaction (CV04N).
