Description

In a dispatcher instance, this node groups the performance and health data about the end-to-end processing of a charging operation request that is received by this dispatcher instance via the Offline Charging Services (OFCS).

In a rater instance, this node groups the performance and health data about the business processing of a charging operation request that is rooted by a dispatcher instance in the monitored SAP CC Core Server system.

In an offline charging scenario or in a soft real-time scenario, the operation request message is initially received via one of the main technical interfaces of SAP CC:

  • Message TCP
  • Web Services
The end-to-end processing includes a step of business processing. Consider the performance and health metrics reported from the dispatcher instance in this particular Charge node as part of the end-to-end processing of such a charging operation request. Consider also the performance and health metrics reported in the WebService node as part of the end-to-end processing of such a charging operation request.

In this situation, the dispatcher instance is part of the frontends of the rater instance; see the corresponding activity and reported metrics. The rater instance is part of the backends of the dispatcher instance; see also the corresponding activity and reported metrics.
