Parameter: LS_TRC_DESTINATION

Definition

The destination(s) of the trace messages

Description and Use

This parameter defines which destination(s) will receive the trace messages generated by the instances of the system. These destinations are the console and several sets of files. They can include entries from other sources (business processing logs, system processing logs). By default, the trace messages are generated to the logging destination fileset #2 .

Caution

If no value is set for this parameter, the value of the "ls.trc.destination" system property located in the startup configuration file (jstart.config) of the instance is used instead.
If this system property is not set, the "LDF2" value is used instead.

Syntax and Constraints

The possible values are:

  • A single destination identifier among:
    • LDC : Console destination
    • LDF1 : File destination number 1
    • LDF2 : File destination number 2
    • LDF3 : File destination number 3
    • LDF4 : File destination number 4
    • LDF5 : File destination number 5
  • A list of destinations. Each entry must be defined as described above and separated with a comma.
