Parameter: CONTRACT_PACKING_ENABLED
Definition
Description
If you set up the parameter CONTRACT_PACKING_ENABLED to "true", you allow the packing of provider contracts. The packing of provider contracts consists in removing useless revisions of the provider contracts from the database. This procedure is applied when you modify a provider contract. It is applied only once to a provider contract. If you modify the contract once again, the procedure does nothing to this contract.
Syntax
The possible values for the parameter CONTRACT_PACKING_ENABLED are:
- true: The packing procedure is applied to provider contracts.
- false: The packing procedure is not applied to provider contracts.
Note
The column TECHNICAL_STATUS in the table CACO of the database indicates if a provider contract has been packed.Do not set the parameter CONTRACT_PACKING_ENABLED to "true" if the version of the first SAP CC system you installed was greater than CC4.0 SP08. As of CC4.0 SP08, the provider contracts are packed as soon as they are modified. In that case, the packing procedure is useless.
