Do not change the value of this SAP CC system parameter in a productive landscape, except under the direct supervision of a support specialist from your SAP Support Team, or under specific recommendation provided within the SAP CC documentation.
This system parameter defines the number of write buffers used by a dispatcher instance to reply to a rater, a guider, an updater, or a bulkloader instance for internal communications.
This parameter is used to control the data flow between instances in a running SAP CC system. For example, you can increase this parameter if a dispatcher instance handles a large quantity of responses to send to another instance.
Note
This system parameter does not configure the internal communications between the dispatcher instances. See the parameter CONNECTION_INTERNAL_WRITE_BUFFER to tune the behavior of the dispatcher instances in a running SAP CC system.
Advanced Tuning
The number of write buffers is by default set to 3.
You can however change this value from 3 to 1,000 depending on the data flow between instances.
The metric 'ConnectionStatistics' can help you to determine the number of write buffers by
indicating how much time has elapsed before an instance can write a message in an empty buffer.
If this time increases, you must increase the number of write buffers in the dispatcher instances.
