Definition

A subscriber account is the representation of an end customer who consumes a marketable service. This master data is stored in SAP Convergent Charging but must be managed and replicated by a CRM application or another provisioning system.

Business Context and Use

A subscriber account relates to the end customer of the service provider. A subscriber account contains all the prepaid accounts and external accounts which are debited when the customer consumes services or credited when the customer makes refills. Note that external accounts are links to the postpaid accounts managed by the connected invoicing and billing system (or by an accounting system).

Business Partner Management

Your CRM application or another provisioning system manages master data related to the business partners and replicates data in SAP CC by maintaining some subscriber data for end customers of the service provider. Data includes: Subscriber accounts, subscriber mapping tables, subscriber range tables.

Business Agreement Management

Your CRM application or another provisioning system manages master data related to the business agreements between partners and replicates data in SAP CC by maintaining some subscriber data for end customers of the service provider. Data includes: Prepaid accounts and external accounts.

• Complete the subscriber account by creating and maintaining information for external accounts and creating and maintaining prepaid accounts

Features

This customer master data represents a business partner of the service provider and its business agreements.

Structure

A subscriber account is defined by:

• An identifier (mandatory)
• Additional information (optional) (*)
• Some accounts (optional) to be charged for service use (usage, periodic, one-off)
  • Prepaid accounts (optional)
  • External accounts (optional)

Prepaid Account

A subscriber account contains prepaid accounts in prepaid environement when credit control and real-time functions are required. SAP CC manages prepaid accounts with a monetary prepaid balance that represents a service credit for the end customer.

External Account (Postpaid)

A subscriber account contains one or more external accounts that are references to postpaid accounts managed in a third-party system. SAP CC does not manage any postpaid account.
