Defining Configuration Objects for Message Processing
Configuration Task |
Description |
The manual execution of all configuration steps can be very complex and time-consuming for large scenarios. Therefore, tools are available that enable you to perform the configuration efficiently and quickly (for example, the model configurator or the Integration Directory programming interface). |

You define the units that are to be addressed as the sender or receiver of messages. You define communication parties and communication components for this purpose. You define communication channels to establish the technical communication paths for the communication party and the communication components. You configure the adapters for inbound and outbound processing in the communication channels. For more information, see the documentation in SAP Library under . |
You configure the following:
You can use a configuration scenario to group configuration objects that are connected together. In addition you can display the objects of a configuration scenario and their relationship to each other in a graphic overview. |
You can automatically adjust a configuration scenario with all of the configuration objects that are used in it to new or changed communication components. |
