Finding Users Who Are Locked Due to Failed Logon Attempts
Use the RSUSR006 report to find users, who have entered the wrong password too many times and had their accounts locked.
Procedure
This evaluation starts immediately without additional selection criteria.
Results
If the report found matching users, the report displays the users in a list.
Next Steps
Determine what steps to take next:
-
Think about if the locked users indicate an attack on your system. Is someone trying to brute force their way into the account of a dialog user? Have the credentials of a technical user changed and the system or application that calls that user needs updating?
-
For a small number of users, you can double-click on the users individually and unlock them.
-
For a large number of users, use Mass Maintenance (transaction SU10) to search for an unlock them.
