Force Confirming Tasks

Use

TRM allows you to force confirm tasks that you cannot confirm due to one of the following reasons:

  • Host problems, such as locking problems

  • Verification problems, such as those caused by a damaged label

By force confirming these tasks, you are able to continue with your work.

Prerequisites

You can only force confirm tasks that have been saved at the Source screen (tasks with the status of 04 Started ).

Procedure

  1. From the Destination screen of a task, choose FCnf . The Force Confirmation screen appears.

  2. Choose List to view the list of reasons for force confirming the task.

  3. If you are force confirming the task because of host problems, choose Force Conf. w/o Host Conf .

  4. If you are force confirming the task because of verification problems, choose Force Conf. w/o verification.

  5. Choose Ent . The reason code and description appear in the Reason field.

  6. Choose Cnfr to force confirm the task.

Result

The force confirmed task is given the status of 07 Force Confirm and appears under Problematic Tasks in the Alert Monitor , awaiting managerial action. For all intents and purposes, the task is confirmed at the TRM level and, consequently, is not assigned to any other resources.

In the case of host problems, the task is only confirmed at the TRM level while in the case of verification problems, the task is confirmed both at the TRM and host levels.
