Creation of Broker Reports You can use this function for mass and automated creation of broker reports at defined intervals.
In Collections/Disbursements, the broker reports function as an invoice from the insurance company for the assigned broker. You can use this function to create broker reports for standard brokers and to create broker reports for web brokers.
The system differentiates between brokers by using the web broker type defined for web brokers in the broker contract.
Insurance companies can also create broker reports for standard brokers manually in the SAP Easy Access menu for
Collections/Disbursements
, under
For more information, see
Entering a Broker Report
.
Brokers and permitted insurance processors can also create broker reports for web brokers manually with the web application WD_IBR_BR_CREATION ( Manual Creation of Broker Reports ).
For broker reports to be created by web brokers, you have set up the web broker type in Customizing for
Collections/Disbursements
, under
When executing the report, the system now checks whether a broker report can be created, for each broker contract.
When creating the broker report, the system creates individual items by selecting open items for the customers for a broker and grouping these in individual items for a broker report. When grouping open items to broker report items, the system differentiates between standard brokers and web brokers, and proceeds according to different grouping rules.
When creating the broker report, the system also creates the correspondence (type) 'Broker Invoice'. The correspondence printing activity FPCOPARA
Mass Activity Print
uses this correspondence (type) and the corresponding setting for correspondence control at broker account level to create an email to the broker, for example, which could also contain a link to the web applications for broker report processing. For more information about printing correspondence, see

.
1:n open items (such as commission and premiums) are assigned to each broker report item. The total for the open items is the total to be collected that is proposed by the system.
Grouping to broker report items takes place for standard brokers using the following flexible criteria:
Transaction currency
Category
Business partner/contract account/insurance contract
Assigned broker/broker contract
Five additional selection criteria from the field list for open items (structure FKKOP). These are filtered with the grouping categories that can be set up in Customizing, which can also be assigned to certain categories. The grouping categories define how the broker invoice and items appear, and how the broker reports collected amounts.
For example, two open items with due dates 01/01/06 and 15/01/06, without grouping category, can be grouped to one broker report item. Using grouping category GPR01 (grouping by due date) allows them to be grouped to two separate broker report items.
The system creates broker reports for web brokers according to the web broker type set up in Customizing. The system groups the open items for web brokers into account with a single, uniform grouping category, so that the corresponding standard clarification codes are also taken into account.
The reported amount is first set to zero in the broker report, as the proposed amount is used as a proposal that the broker can confirm, refuse or change. The system adjusts the reported amount dependent on the action performed by the broker.
