Rebranding of Material

Use

In the load confirmation process there are two options for rebranding material:

  • Unplanned rebrands

  • Planned rebrands

Rebranding of material is accessed from the Load Bulk screen by choosing Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Rebr./Ld.bulk detail. End of the navigation path

Unplanned Rebrands

Unplanned rebrands are used to cover cases where the underlying document and schedule are for one product, but at the loading confirmation stage there is insufficient product. At this point product can be substituted. The substitution product must fulfill customer requirements just as the first product.

The scheduled product can be overwritten (rebranded) in the Rebrand/Load bulk detail screen. Rebranding results in a material-to-material transfer and the necessary accounting adjustments.

Planned Rebrands

Planned rebrands refer to any form of rebrand that has been planned in advance, such as in the delivery document. Planned rebrands include bill of materials handling within shipment processing. In this case, the main item for which the delivery has been created is scheduled. The sub-items are then loading confirmed in the Rebrand/lLoad bulk detail screen, enabling a variation in the loaded quantity from that which was scheduled. Finally, the main item is delivery confirmed.
