Choose  Logistics Sales and Distribution Bulk transportation Master data Vehicle Create . This takes you to the initial screen for creating vehicle master data.

Enter the vehicle type and choose ENTER . This takes you to the Create Vehicle: Details screen for entering vehicle data.

If you leave the vehicle number field on the initial screen empty, the system automatically assigns a default vehicle number.

If you want to create a new vehicle based on the data of a vehicle which already exists, enter the number of the vehicle which already exists in the Vehicle number field in the Copy from... section. The system copies the data from the existing vehicle, which you can later change when processing the new vehicle.

Enter the necessary data on the details screen. The details screen is divided into the Vehicle details section and the vehicle attributes section.

The vehicle type and vehicle mode data is automatically proposed in the vehicle details section. This information is determined by the vehicle type entered in the initial screen and cannot be changed. The weight Unit of Measure is also a default from the vehicle type, but can be changed in the details screen before assigning a transport unit to the vehicle.

To assign one or more transport units to a vehicle, choose  Goto TU assignment . The system displays the screen for the assigning transport units to the vehicle.

You must assign at least one transport unit to a vehicle. Vehicles only exist as a collection of transport units and you cannot create a vehicle without at least one transport unit.

Enter the transport unit identifiers or search for them using matchcode, and then choose ENTER .

The data for the transport unit (unladen weight, maximum weight, maximum volume, number of compartments and meters) is automatically copied from the transport unit master data into the vehicle master data record.

To return to the vehicle details screen, choose  Goto Details screen .

To assign one or more license types to a vehicle, choose  Goto Lic.Type assignment . This takes you to the screen for assigning license types to the vehicle.

Enter the license type or find it using the matchcode.

The assignment of license types to a vehicle is optional.

Save the vehicle.
