Content Exchange
Use
You use the content exchange service to transfer content to and from other repositories.
For example, you may want to use it to automatically distribute published content to repositories of another portal. Or you may want to use it to feed external content (for example, news) into your portal on a regular basis.
The content exchange service provides both a syndication server for distributing content and a client for receiving content. The functions provided by the syndication server are accessed from the Syndicator Administration iView. The functions provided by the client are accessed from the Subscriber Administration iView.
Since the service uses the Information and Content Exchange (ICE) protocol, you can even use it for transferring content to repositories in other system environments provided they have an ICE-enabled client for receiving content.
