Automatic NSR Classification
You can use program RN2UPPR0
to run an automatic NSR classification for patients (case classification) from the nursing services entered in IS-H*MED.
Integration
The evaluation only includes patients for whom nursing services were scheduled or performed when you processed services for the evaluation period in the selected institution.
Prerequisites
The automatic NSR classification requires the complete entry of the performed nursing services. For each patient and each day, you must determine all nursing services and their assignments to the three classifications - basic services, extended services, special services, in order to make the NSR classification in the patient groups.
If it is necessary for classification, the system will include the number and the frequency of the performed service. The concrete mode of operation will appear in the display of the assignment rules.

Process Flow
After determining the patient's age at the time of service performance, this program determines whether the patient is classified as an adult or a child, whereby the system will again differentiate children in their classification based on their age. The age limit for children corresponds to the age limits for newborns, small children and adolescents specified in IS-H.
Note
The system then classifies children as such if the nursing organizational unit has the pediatric indicator flagged. Otherwise, the system treats children as adults regarding their classification. The classification takes place according to the corresponding assignment rules.
Entries on the Selection Screen
NSR classification requires the entry of the institution and the evaluation start date. If no other selection conditions are entered, then the patients receiving nursing services are included for every organizational unit (OU) of the institution.
On the initial screen of the program, the institution and the evaluation period are preset. The start date is the current date minus one day and the end date corresponds to the current date. You can also make a restriction for specific nursing organizational units and specific cases.
In the evaluation for the NSR classification, the system only includes patients for whom nursing services were performed or planned in the evaluation period. In addition, this also includes the NSR parameters you have specified for performing the nursing services. The system includes the services for the NSR classification that have a performance time between the start and end of the rule-based service.
Log Display
Those patients are listed for whom no case classification could be executed.
In a log, you receive an overview of the unsuccessful classification runs for patients, as well as a total sum of the successful classification runs.

Due to performance reasons, we recommend that you always start the program in the background using a specified start time early in the morning (i.e., 5:00), in order to make sure that the database changes to be made do not interfere with normal operation.
