The function determines the valid price for an item. Several prices may exist for one item due to validity periods and price variants.

Pricing is done for a price variant transferred at function call. The following pricing variants exist:

• Determine the actual price
• Determine the normal price
• Determine the special price

During pricing, the valid price entry is determined from the price entries available for the item and returned to the calling function. If no valid price entry is found, it will be returned that no price exists.
