Rescan is used to check the items in the customer's receipt which were entered during registration on the Self Checkout or Self Scanning Client. The rescan is performed by a cashier who, depending on the rescan type, scans all (full rescan) or just a part (partial rescan) of the items in the customer's basket. The decision as to whether a rescan is necessary or not and the rescan details (for example, which kind of rescan should be performed) is made by the Fraud Detection Service. If it is not reachable (or if it should not be used), the system falls back to an offline calculation.
There are three parts to configure:
- Activation of the Rescan
- Fraud Detection Service
- Offline Calculation
