You use this iView to classify objects as safety measures by adding them to the safety measure list. In this way, you can create a list of safety-relevant objects from the total of all available objects.
Only objects from the safety measure list can be added in the safety plan of a maintenance order or task list.
You can add objects of the following types to the safety measure list:
Document
Permit
Task list
Material
Equipment PRT
This refers to production resources/tools (PRTs) created as equipment only.
Other PRT
This refers to miscellaneous-type PRTs.
You can add objects individually by entering the relevant object data, or you can add several objects at once by performing a search and then selecting the required objects from the search result. Note that you can only add objects that already exist; you cannot create new objects.
When you add a document or material to the safety measure list, you must specify whether or not it is a PRT. This determines how these objects are assigned in the safety plan. If a document or material is a PRT, then it is assigned at operation level; if not, it is assigned at header level.
When you add an object to the list, you must also specify its safety relevance, in other words what action the maintenance worker must take to implement the safety measure. You do not have to specify the safety relevance of permits.
The following safety relevance values or actions are possible:
Inform
If you select this value, then when the safety measure is assigned in an order, its details are included in the job card for information purposes.
You select this value, for example, if you want the maintenance worker to be aware of the safety measure.
This value is selected by default.
Sign
If you select this value, then when the safety measure is assigned in an order, its details are included in the job card and a space is provided for the maintenance worker's signature.
You select this value, for example, if you want the maintenance worker to confirm that he or she has read and understood the safety measure.
Note
The Safety Relevance
field is read-only in other applications that reference the above-mentioned object types. This allows you, for example, to identify an object as a safety measure within the context of a maintenance order or a task list. If an object is not
a safety measure, then this field contains the value Not Safety-Relevant
.
It is also possible to remove objects from the safety measure list. Note that if the actual object is deleted or archived, it is automatically removed from the safety measure list.
You can access this iView from the Services
list of the Work Overview
workset.
The following navigation options are available for objects in the safety measure list:
Display object in the relevant Web Dynpro application, if available
Display object in the relevant back-end transaction
Display object in the Asset Viewer
You can use both the standard functions of the order and task list applications, as well as the functions of the safety plan within these applications to assign safety measures as follows:
Safety Measure |
Possible Assignments |
|---|---|
Document |
You can assign documents at order header level and as PRTs at operation level (order and task list). |
Permit |
You can assign permits at header level (order and task list). |
Material |
You can assign materials at operation level (order and task list) as material components and PRTs. |
Equipment |
You can assign equipment PRTs at operation level (order and task list). |
Other PRT |
You can assign other PRTs at operation level (order and task list). |
Task list |
You can assign task lists at order header level. You can also assign task lists in maintenance plans. |
If you are working with SAP BusinessObjects Risk Management, you can assign safety measures to risk responses by defining the context of the responses accordingly. In this way, the system can assign safety measures automatically in orders and task lists that involve certain risks.
