Using the SAP KW with Decentralized Users (Optional)
Use
If your KW users are globally-distributed, you have the following options to make their work easier:

For situations where authors across the globe access SAP KW, to improve system performance for storing documents, it can be useful to use several SAP Content Servers in different locations.

For distributed end users, you can speed up read access to SAP KW contents by providing cache servers.
Prerequisites
Before you start Customizing, make sure that all the SAP Content Servers and SAP Content Server Caches (Cache Servers) you want to use have been installed correctly.
Procedure
The constellations listed above (globally-distributed end users/authors) require additional Customizing settings that control the distribution of the documents depending on the location of the users who want to display or maintain the documents.
The distribution mechanism includes the following steps, which are relevant both for the provision of additional SAP Content Servers and for the provision of cache servers:
