Assigning IP Subnets to Locations

Prerequisites

You have defined at least two locations in your SAP KW landscape.

Context

To allow SAP KW users in different locations access to a single content/cache server in the same LAN, you assign IP addresses/subnetworks to locations.

Procedure

  1. In transaction SI24, choose the activity Start of the navigation pathSettings in the Knowledge Warehouse System Next navigation step Distribution Next navigation step Assign IP Subnets to LocationsEnd of the navigation path (or call transaction SCMSIP).
  2. Choose New Entries.
  3. In the Net Mask field, you can define individual IP addresses or whole subnetworks that are to be assigned to a particular location. For information about the format of the entries, refer to the hypertext for this activity.
  4. Save your entries.
