Master Data at the Business Location Type LevelAs certain business location master data is not related to the type of business carried out at a business location or is relevant to all retail network business types, you can enter such general data at the business location type level.
The exact configuration of the screens used for the maintenance of business location master data is defined in Customizing for the

You can also create your own screens. For more information, see User-Defined Data for Business Locations .
You can display and maintain the following business location master data at the general level:
Address, history and object status information. The screen containing this data is always present, regardless of business location type.
Control data. You assign:
A process control group. This determines which processes can be carried out at a location and the parameters for process prerequisites and the process control application log. For more information, see Process Control .
A location margins procedure. This determines which margin procedure the system applies when you use the Two-Dimensional Price Maintenance Tool .
A conversion group. This defines how the system converts field values received by or transmitted from interfaces to external systems. In Customizing for the

, you define conversion groups by choosing
You can assign a conversion group at location type level or at business type level. Business type assignments have priority over assignments at the general level.
The ID of the logical system used for transfer of data to the location
Location area assignment. For more information, see Geographical Grouping of Business Locations .
Location status. The location status determines the range of processes available for a business location. In Customizing for the
Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream)
, you define which processes are available for each status by choosing
Company code. This is required to enable payment card handling for the location, as all payment card types to be handled are assigned to company codes. You assign payment card types to company codes in Customizing for the
Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream
). This entry is not used to check other company code assignments, such as those for any assets or cost centers that you create

Location attributes. For informational purposes, you can assign a brand name, and value indicators to a business location. You define location attributes in
Customizing for the

Some of the data listed above is also available at business type level. For example, you may want to use object linking to link the business location to a plant at the general level and to a storage location at the fuels business type level.
