Context

For example, if you want to translate the text elements in report SAPLSPOD, proceed as follows:

Procedure

  1. In transaction Translation: Initial Screen (SE63), choose Short Texts.
    The Object Type Selection (Object Groups) dialog box appears.
  2. Expand 00 Meta Objects.
  3. Select meta object type REPT Text Elements (Meta).
    The ABAP Short Texts: Text Elements (Meta) screen appears.
  4. Enter SAPLSPOD in the Object Name field.
  5. Select the required source and target languages.
  6. Choose Edit.
    Transaction SE63 works out for you that the correct object type is in fact RPT1 Text Elements for Function Groups, and opens the object for translation in the short text editor.
