Simple Signature Process

Use

The simple signature process comprises one single signature. The signatory has two options here. He or she can either sign the document or not sign it (cancel the signature). The signature process can only have the following statuses:

• New signature process

• Completed signature process

The signature process is finished when the signatory has signed successfully.

Prerequisites

In Customizing for Digital Signature under Specify Signature Method for Approval Using Simple Signature, you have made the following settings:

• Object for digital signature

  In the Digital Signature Object field, you enter the application object for which the simple signature will later be used.

• Signature method

  You specify the signature method. This signature method is then valid for all signatories of the application to which you have not assigned a signature strategy (see Signature Methods).

• Allow comment

• Display of document to be signed
