Bake Realight Textures
Use
The Bake Realight Textures feature combines diffuse and ambient occlusion maps (generated by Realight) into one texture in the diffuse slot. It’s useful for exporting scenes to formats that don’t support separate lighting maps. For example, ambient occlusion.
Bake Realight Textures affects all materials in the scene. It does the following:
-
If a material has both a diffuse texture map and an ambient occlusion map, the diffuse texture is remapped to be the same size and UV channel as the ambient occlusion texture. The two textures are combined using the multiply blend mode, and the result is placed in the diffuse texture slot.
-
For materials that have an ambient occlusion texture but no diffuse texture, the ambient occlusion texture is moved to the diffuse slot.
Activities
Any ambient occlusion maps in the scene are combined with the matching diffuse map.
