3D Viewport Menus

Use

Various context-sensitive right-click menus are available when you right-click in the 3D viewport. The menus that appear depend on the location of your cursor.

Menu Options

Functional Description

Viewport Menu

Appears when you right-click over the viewport label located in the top, left of the viewport. It includes all preset view, user-defined view, and render mode commands. It also includes all of the show/hide commands that can be set for individual viewports.

Scene Menu

Appears when you right-click over the scene with nothing selected. It includes various commands that relate specifically to the scene. For example, the camera motion and scene backgrounds.

Object Menu

Appears when you right-click over the scene with one or more objects selected. It includes various commands that relate specifically to objects. For example, selecting and grouping objects.

Tools Menu

Appears when you right-click over the scene with nothing selected or with one or more objects selected.

Line Illustration Right-Click Menu

Appears when you right-click an object after selecting a line illustration option from the toolbar. For more information, see Line Illustration Right-Click Menu.

Mesh Select Menu

Appears when you right-click an object after selecting a mesh selection option from the toolbar.

Right-Click Selection Menu

A selection menu is displayed if you press CTRL, right-click and then drag in the 3D viewport.
