Text and Notes

Use

You can use SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author to insert text into a scene. The Text and Note tools enable you to create and edit the text.

The text and note types include:

Rich Text Object - created using the text tool. Rich text objects contain formatted text, and are inserted as a 2D layer in the scene.
Note - created using the note tools. They comprise a text item and a line pointing to the part, which can be attached to or detached from the part.

Note

For notes to be displayed, you must select the Show Markups command from the Display menu.
Images - created using the Image note tool, and appear as a drawing in the Scene tree.

Text and Note Rules

Certain rules apply to text and notes:

Rich Text Objects are placed in a specific location in the scene, and as such, do not move with the model when it is rotated.
Using the 3D Objects list, you can select, hide, and show text and notes, group, merge, and collapse their hierarchies, and delete them in the same way as other objects.
For notes to be displayed on an image or model, the Show Markups option must be selected on the Scene Settings menu. The Scene Settings menu is accessed from the Navigation toolbar.
