Symbol Leaders

Use

You can use Symbol leader-lines to link two objects together. Symbols can be used as a markup to enhance instructions indicating a specific area.

There are two types of Symbol leader-lines:

  • Symbol Leader: a line linking two objects.

  • Symbol Arrow Leader: a line linking two objects with an arrow at one end.

Activities

Linking Two Objects Using Symbol Leaders

  1. In the Tool Assistant, establish the symbol leader linestyle settings. Highlight the two objects that you wish to connect with a leader-line.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Click Add Symbol Leader on the Text and Notes toolbar.

    • Click Add Symbol Arrow Leader on the Text and Notes toolbar.

  3. Draw the leader-line.
