Editing Notes

Use

The Note tools are used to create text markups to the scene. You can edit the note type, size, font, colors, text, and attachment in the Tool Assistant.

You can modify individual notes after they are created using the Properties window. You can modify the text and link information of the note. Use the Tool Assistant to modify the font type and line color of markups. In addition, you can use the Appearance settings to attach and detach notes from mesh.

Activities

Modifying the Note Settings

Open the Tool Assistant and make the selections you require.

Editing a Note

Do one of the following:
- Double-click the note that you want to edit in the viewport, 3D Objects list, or Layers list.
- Select the note that you want to edit, right-click over the markup or in the viewport and select Object Properties.
Recommendation

Double-clicking a URL note opens the URL address in the browser; we recommend double-clicking these notes in the 3D Objects list for editing.
Make the changes you require and click OK.

Note

If your note contains a URL, it is not displayed when Text Note Style is set to Circle.

Detaching a Note from Mesh

Select the required note in the viewport.
In the Appearance settings, deselect the Attached to Mesh checkbox.

The note is no longer attached to the mesh.
