Exploding Objects

Use

CAD operators typically design an assembly in a static assembled mode. However, illustrators often require an exploded view of the model and its parts. Exploding models clearly displays assemblies in a traditional illustration style.

The Explode Objects tool is useful for generating 2D illustrations and dynamic 3D documents. Animated explosions can also be created for electronic display, which can be useful for displaying relationships between parts and, when manually sequenced can represent actual assembly and disassembly instructions. You can also modify the settings for exploding objects.

To explode objects, you must first specify a number of settings After the explosion is created, an Explode sequence is created, and the animation controls can then be used to view the animation. Each subsequent exploded animation that is created overwrites the existing Explode sequence and animation. However, creating an exploded animated without stages does not overwrite an existing exploded animation that was created with stages.
