Drawing Toolbar

Use

The Drawing toolbar comprises a number of buttons with which you can perform drawing actions on the scene. You can also use the toolbar with the Tool Assistant (see Tool Assistant) to adjust the settings for drawing actions.

Features

Using the toolbar you can perform the following actions:

Toolbar Option

Functional Description
Line

Tools that you can use to create markups. Available options are as follows:

  • : Line

  • : Polyline
  • : Arc
  • : Freehand
  • : Closed freehand
  • : Rectangle
  • : Circle
  • : Cloud
Continuous Draw

Draws multiple callouts or polylines, without having to click the toolbar button every time.
Detail View

Creates a detail view

Cutaway

Creates a cutaway detail view

Highlight Selection
Creates contour drawings using highlight selection.

Explode Model

Explodes models

Color Model

Applies different colors to adjacent objects. Coloring helps identify objects that don’t appear to be separate.

Activities

To open the toolbar, perform one of the following:

  • On the menu bar, choose Start of the navigation pathWindow Next navigation step Toolbars Next navigation step DrawingEnd of the navigation path

  • Right-click the menu bar and choose Drawing

  • In the Customize Layout window, choose Toolbars, and select theDrawing checkbox
