Changing Data Aging Groups

You can change previously created data aging groups retroactively.

Context

The composition of data aging groups can change over time. To have a history of the composition of the data aging groups, logs are issued during each data aging run. These logs record the state of the data aging group at the start of the data aging run.

Procedure

  1. To do so, select transaction Overview of Data Aging Runs (transaction DAGRUN).
  2. In the menu, choose Start of the navigation pathGoto Next navigation step Edit Data Aging GroupsEnd of the navigation path.
  3. To do so, select the data aging group you want to change.
  4. Then choose Data Aging Objects in the Dialog Structure and change the list of the data aging objects entered there according to your requirements.
  5. Save your entries.

Results

You have changed the composition of a data aging group. If the data aging group was scheduled for a data aging run before you made the change, you can read the history of changes to data aging groups in the statistics. To do so, choose transaction DAGRUN in the menu Start of the navigation pathGoto Next navigation step Statistics for the Data Aging RunEnd of the navigation path.
